Studio # 16
Laura Didyk received her MFA in creative writing more than 15 years ago, and has been teaching writing in the Berkshires for the past 7. She began drawing in 2014. She uses found text, colored markers, black ink, drawing paper, and everyday objects, such as matchboxes and Altoid tins, to create worlds that are celebratory, childlike, detailed, and complex.
Her work has been shown throughout the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, and been printed in Orion magazine, No Tokens, Artful Mind, and Your Idea Starts Here, a book on the creative process.
Her original work and archival prints can be purchased by contacting the artist via email, phone, her website, or by appointment at NU Arts Gallery & Studios.
