NUarts houses the studios of over 20 local artists, musicians, artisans, art therapists and wellness services in the Greylock Building in downtown Pittsfield. We are located on the second floor with entrances at 311 North Street and around the corner on Union Street.
The space includes individual artist studios and an upstairs gallery that displays work by NUarts’ artists and artisans. Downstairs on Union St, visit our display windows showcasing multiple artists work for sale in participation with downtown Pittsfield´s First Fridays Artswalk.
NUarts continues to be the largest group of artists under one roof in downtown Pittsfield. This is our working and teaching space and typically the doors are locked unless we are holding open studios. However, we are always available by appointment. NUarts Studios & Gallery (NUarts) is a constantly evolving group of artists who seek to foster a welcoming and creative environment for our resident artists and the community at large. One of our goals is to develop, create, and foster art and artists. NUarts seeks to elevate the quality of life and the well-being of our artists and the larger community by making art accessible. NUarts strives to make art inclusive and empowering to all through group exhibitions, open studio events, and other city wide events. We believe the power of art and culture is a means of uplifting the surrounding community.
