NUarts Opening Season at Artweek!

NUarts will be hosting a variety of interactive arts for the community in several open studios as you walk through the halls of the gallery.

Open Poetry and Music Jam in Studio 12 (Art therapy studio)


Modality and materials painting with Karen Jacobs in Studio 13, using sponges, straws, combs, springs, marbles and more to make abstract paintings on paper. Also see what Karen has been up to this winter…a new variety of landscape painting in oil!


Large community fabric weave with Marney Schorr in the main Gallery (and works from her new ‘Portal’ series).


Abstract art with Peggy Morse in Studio 10 (come see Peggy’s giant new brayer and large new abstract works on paper).


Abstract art with Caroline Kelly in Studio 11 (and new mixed media works on canvas and paper!)


Watercolors with Sally Tiska Rice in Studio 14 and works on commission.


Coloring and collage with Joan Rooks in the opening of her new studio – Studio 15. Figurative works, mixed media and more.


Mixed media with Kathy Gideon in Studio 20… dont forget to stop by and say hello to our NUarts resident mascot Max!


Gouache painting demo with Ilene Richard in Studio 6 and new acrylic paintings on large canvas!
