NuFaces at NUarts and FLOORWIDE Spring Art Sale!

NUarts Gallery is excited to create two events to celebrate First Fridays’ one year anniversary.  For the month of May, NUarts gallery will present a group show of self portraits by 8 artists.  Participating artists are Marge Bride, Debbie Carter, Joanie Ciolfi, Ellen Joffe-Halpern, Sophia D.Lee , Lisa Merullo, Scott Taylor and Sally Tiska-Rice, presenting work in mediums including watercolor, acrylic, photography and mixed media.

To further celebrate, almost all the visual artists on the 2nd floor of 311 North St, will be participating in a floor wide studio sale.  Each artist will be offering sale items specific to their work, ranging from original acrylics, oils, mixed media, notecards, prints, hub caps, decorative flower pots as well as art supplies.  The sale begins on Friday evening  May 3rd and continues on Saturday, May 4th from 11-3.

An opening reception, part of the citywide celebration First Fridays Artswalk, will be hosted by NUarts Gallery on Friday, May 3rd, 5-8pm.

The NUarts Gallery, located at the top of the Union Street entrance, next to Mary’s Carrot Cake and Gallery 25, will have new exhibits each month with openings in conjunction with Pittsfield’s First Fridays Artswalk   These shows are solo exhibits  duo shows, and a few times a year the entire group will display works to celebrate special occasions.

NUarts Gallery is part of NUarts studios/gallery, currently housing 19 artists in varying disciplines.  The NUarts artists are Marguerite Bride, Dan Brody, Debbie Carter, Joanie Ciolfi, Diane Firtell, Kathy Gideon, Susan Himmel, Ellen Joffe-Halpern, Sophia D. Lee, Lisa Merullo, Dee Randolph, Dawn Metzer, Sam Ponder, Deborah Rufo Buratto, Harrison Searles, Sally Tiska-Rice, Eric Shuman, Claudia Shuster and Scott Taylor.
