This will not be the traditional Scott Taylor Art Show people have come to expect from me. Gone, at least for this show, are the bright “in your face” colored canvases that tell about happier times, bucolic barns and garden trophies. This show will present artwork and artist views that have infiltrated my easel and touch on darker places that most, if not all of us have experienced during our life time. All of the artwork in this show has been created over the past several years. Some of the pieces have been seen individually in shows or on my walls during open studios, but this will be the first time that all of these pieces together will take center stage. I can honestly say that there will be pieces in this show that everyone who visits the show can and will relate to, if not directly, certainly through a friend or a loved one’s eyes. My hope is that a viewer of this show will leave it reflecting on his or her own CROSSROADS, and know that these are the events that will come to define them.
