NUarts Pittsfield, the largest artist and artisan studio collective in the heart of downtown Pittsfield will be hosting open studios on December 3rd from 5 – 8 p.m.

With around 15 artists’ studios and open gallery space, professional and amateur visual artists share the space with musicians, ceramicists, jewelry artists, videographers, and a fountain pen artisan.

Among the artists opening December 3rd are Stefanie Bessman, Myk Daigle, Kathy Gideon, Caroline Kelley, Shany Porras, Ilene Richard, Marney Schorr, Sally Tiska Rice and more!! NUarts artists will offer artwork and wares for sale that would be perfect for holiday gifting! So expect some holiday decoration and cheer throughout NUarts as the artists celebrate the last open studios for the year!

Stefanie Bessman (Studio 24) is a ceramicist whose wares have been used in Bon Apetit magazine. She will be selling exciting new works for a range of uses.

Myk Daigle will showcase his new and restored original fountain pens.

Val Fox (Studio 10) will be open for hands-on encaustic demonstrations and selling her mixed media encaustic artwork. 

Kathy Gideon will show her handmade nature based sculptures and works on paper.

Caroline Kelley (Studio 11) will be showing new colorful abstract art paintings and small affordable original art suitable for holiday giving.

Shany Porras (Studio 12) will be showing abstract paintings that translate music from different genres, at a range of prices great for unique gift-giving.

Ilene Richard (Studio 9) Ilene Richard will be showing fun colorful figurative and pet portraits in various sizes. Commission work is welcome for the holiday season.

Marney Schorr (Studio 13) will be showing works from her “Take Five and all that Jazz” series of gouache on paper. She will also be featuring free, handmade ornament making for all ages, with paints and colored wire sculptures.

Sally Tiska Rice multimedia commission artist will display seasonal spontaneous visual art work.
